    An early morning wake up and we were off to the airport for a flight to Crete. A hour drive and a 35min flight and we had arrived. We had an amazing driver take up to the hotel/resort.     ... got quite a few from just sitting near him! The flight to Crete was scheduled for 1pm but didn't leave until about 2pm due to a windshield issue. We arrived in Heraklion, Crete around 3pm, got our rental car, and drove to Aigos Nikolaos. This is the town where Debbie Sue's sister, Maria, lives with her entire family.

    ... the Island in Myrtos. The stops before Myrtos were unremarkable but the drive over there, in a four hour loop, took in some staggering views and both beautiful and bleak countryside.     ... Karpathos, specifically Olympos, actually means around 500 people. It's hardly Wembley. We spent the last day driving the jeep down the East coast stopping at Aleppa which was again beautiful with its turquoise clear waters, arriving in Pighadia, also known as Karpathos in the late afternoon.
