First of all we left the town and drove into the heart of the island, where we went to a small village. Here we went to see an olive press museum, then walked down and saw a traditional ceramic maker. We saw how he made his pots and jars. We then got back on the bus and left that village and went to another village. Here we went to a distillery museum, where we got to do some tastings of the product, hear about the history and see some of ...

... island for tomorrow. I then walked into the port area of town, then had dinner at a roof top restaurant, it had great views of the sun setting, also had good food. After dinner i wandered around the town, i went to the bookshop, went and picked up a new hat and some souvenirs. I then got a drink and some bananoff pie at this beer palace cafe, i then walked to the beach and walked along it. I had a drink, relaxed in a chair and then headed back to the hotel/hostel and did some reading before bed.

the port area and went to this place called coffee and cream. Here i had a coffee and some dessert, then went for a walk back to st Georges beach, took a seat at one of the beach side bars and had a drink here, i then walked along to another bar and had a different drink. After that i walked back to the hostel, read for a bit and then went to bed.

... the World Cup. The staff were wearing their Greek jerseys and there were Greek flags on display. It was such a close game and finished up at 1-1 at full time with Costa Rica down one player due to send off. After extra time, great saves from the Costa Rican keeper, it was still a draw and if course time for dreaded penalties. Unfortunately Greece lost, their 4th taker missed, Costa Rica didn't , so at 2am we head back to our room. Tomorrow we leave for ...

... Venetian castle, called Kasteli. We walk along the edge of the port, which is filled with many colourful fishing boats, and occasionally we pass by fishermen unloading their catch, their skin sun-kissed from the long days on the water. We walk along a narrow ledge, which could have once been the top of the walls, to an archway that brings us into an open area and into another world. The Mediterranean sun casts its rays onto the stone walls and wraps ...
