... on board the fast jet ferry to Athens or Piraeus Port and had been told the trip would take five hours. Five hours has come and gone and we are still tossing our way across the sea and will be for another 2 1/2 hours apparently. Its turned into a bit of epic journey and although its more comfortable than a plane its still a very long time to be sitting around and we won't be climbing into bed before 11.30 tonight. Its quite a rough ride at the moment as the ...

... a sun bed for a euro each. It was so hot today, I think thirty five I heard. A popular UK TV show, Geordie Shore filmed here this afternoon. There were posters everywhere saying that if you're in this area you give consent to being on TV. Today was another great day. We woke up to another knock at our door with breakfast and coffee delivery from the hotel. We sat out in the sunshine on our patio listening to the birds chirp and the town waking up. After we got ready we hopped in our little car and headed off to explore the north end of the island. The north coast is home to the popular village of Naousa where there is a small fishing harbour, tons of open air ...

    Beach day in Ios x

... before meeting the rest of the group. Tonight we were heading out on a speedboat to walk through some water caves, snorkel, swim and jump off a cliff! It was so much fun! The water was so clear so when we jumped off the cliff it looked like we would definitely hit the bottom! I had to get the tour guide to promise me I wouldn't hit rocks. It was about a 7m jump but it looked so high from the top! Was pretty freaky but so worth it! After the jumping it was already 8pm so when we got ...

... water to swim in, although I imagine to be very busy during the summer months. I didn't make it to the winery, as I had had enough wine at this time. Asked for a white wine with lemonade and asked if I wanted a lemon squeezed into the wine!?! There was a wee boat which took people over to the beach from the port in Naoussa for 5euro. I wasn't overly impressed with Naoussa and probably could have done with one night spent here, however it was an experience. And on to Ios!!!!! ...
