We leave Dresden for a short road trip south to Chemnitz. Dresden was beautiful but we really thought one day may have been enough. Such a beautiful city (the part we saw anyway) considering 90% of it was destroyed in allied bombing raids in early 1945 just before the war ended (have a read, 50,000 civilians killed by the British and Yanks with bombs and fire bombs!) Patients are required to drink up to a liter a day of the nasty "healthy" water. In order to drink from the springs, people buy "spa cups". These cups are usually of a fancy design and can be shaped like anything from simple cup to a cat. In addition to drinking from the waters, one of the springs is used to fill up baths for ...

We arrived in Karlovy Vary and we went for a walk around town and their tradition is healing spa water.

Some of it is about 72 degrees and then you drink it and it heals you, I don't believe it.

But I am DEFINITELY NEVER drinking that water again.

The next day is Zaras BIRTHDAY, but the funny thing is I slept in until about 9:00 until they
    woke ...
