    ... was quite a trip through wide streets. With such big impressive buildings. The Hotel Metropole was also extremely grand with chandeliers everywhere ! Our room was grandly old fashioned. The beds were uncomfortable, but beat the train! Also bliss a shower and hair wash and Internet! Then to Red Square. I barely made it. No sleep or food and my hip was terribly painful.     The city I am in now, is the 5th largest one in Russia, with 1.25 million people. It is along the river Wolga, my first impression: very beautiful.
