... t have paid parking, not only that we had the best view ever! We didn't move the car for the next five days and spent our time bike riding into town, which only took a few minutes. Biarritz is definitely the biggest place we have been to thus far in France and it definitely lived up to the high expectations. Some of the buildings have the most beautiful French charm about them and the place in general just oozes style. Being summer holidays it was absolutely packed but ...

... de Milady' - an awesome swimming beach. Our site had power and within walking distance to town and for 10 euro a night we're pretty happy. What made us even happier was that early the next morning before the crowds the surf picked up just enough an max finally got a few waves! After a quick coffee on the cliffs we walked into town along another great beach only accessible at low tide - cote des basques. At high tide this beach became a massive clear water swimming pool, ...

Water - holy at Lourdes and in the Atlantic

A travel blog entry by clakiwi on Jul 20, 2012

Headed off to Lourdes this ,morning and saw all the sights at that place: grotto where apparition appeared, the old and new basilica, able to fill up bottles with water if want, and lots of shops with souveneirs or supplies that pilgrims might need. Much busier than Fatima with many sick and elderly being wheeled around in wheelchair ...
