... seems a bit more relaxed than Bayonne's, as I think this is a party town all year round, so that don't really need to fire it up much more for their Fiesta. The city is all about the beach and the food it seems. From about 10am onwards the beach is lined with people of all ages walking the about 6km up and back along the beach. There is loads of room in the morning with a massively changing tide being out, then mid afternoon it comes in and the thousands ...

Adjourning to Frank's room, we said Bon Nuit, and adjourned to our separate rooms for a night of movie watching: Marina saw "The Great Gatsby" and I "The Bridesmaids". So soothing to lay in bed, watching an English speaking movie, and hear the pounding of the surf outside. Bon ...

A Rival for Amalfi

A travel blog entry by europepilgrims on Aug 10, 2013

... incredible rock formations. Our path was made of stone and much of it was shaded with lush greenery. There were many inlets and bays that made the journey even more lovely and interesting. One of those inlets led us to a restaurant that had been recommended to us, the Casa Juan Pedro in the Port des Pecheurs (the fisherman's port). As was the case in many French restaurants, the kitchen was not open between 2:30 and 7:00, but they served us beer and water. As we ...
