    Friday 30th October

    On the ship until 2.30 when we left by tender for the short service to Mykonos, one of Greece's most popular tourist islands. Here we wandered for an hour with Cindy & Mike before grabbing a well deserved beer in a cafe overlooking the famous windmills, formerly used to grind the island’s grain.     ... of us decided to head back to the ship as the wind was almost intolerable, especially along the coastline as we walked back to the bus terminal. We could have had dinner at a Mykonos restaurant, but decided to return to the ship for wind and chill reasons, also I didn't want my health to deteriorate. Pity that we didn't have longer on this Island which seems to be so beautiful, except for the winds! Better some time than none.

    There was a gentle wind this morning behind us for the sail to Paros. This made for a slow but comfortable trip.

    ... in the room and Don is snoring away, so I think it is time for sleep! Tomorrow we are renting a car and driving around the island to visit the many smaller mountain villages as well as the coastal towns on the other side of the island. A car rental costs 20 euro for the whole day which is a fantastic deal! We (and by "we" I mean Amanda since Don seems to always fall asleep at blog-writing time! lol) will write again tomorrow! -Amanda & Don (sort of) ...
