Ride from Maasin
to Baybay and on to Tacloban
There are two routes (there are hundreds more but for this story blah blah blah), you can go from Maasin to Sogod, or from Baybay to Macarthur. We looked at the map and read some things on the glorious, sometimes full of **** internet, and decided that we would take the Baybay route, …

We went to the spot where MacArthur landed, keeping his “I shall return” promise. The monument, and what was once a lovely park bore considerable damage. Parts of the concrete railings and sea walls were undermined and broken. The stripped, broken and uprooted trees in the park bore more of a war zone look than that of a park.

Women children were raped and publically at times. There were many days of

Admittedly there is not much to see at the hotel now, it is quite badly damaged. It must once have been quite a grand and beautiful hotel with villas facing out to the sea. We stayed in the Rosenvil Hotel by recommendations from Trip advisor. However when we arrived the staff could not be bothered to help me, until they had finished their conversation. The room was nice bed, cr, ac and tv all worked well. I had washing done in the hotel and when we collected it and looked at it realised yes it had been washed but it was still very dirty, in fact i had most of it re washed. Overall i didnt enjoy my stay. The staff ruined it for me with there attitude.
