... surrounding areas were beautiful, so it didn't really matter. The water was a crystal clear blue colour and the sky was spotless of any clouds. We walked all around the town, across the river and into the outer skirts. We took a bus tour around the city and went up to a massive park and out near where they have their winter sports stadium.
Come Boxing Day, however, the snow fell and it fell ...
... amazing. Innsbruck has such an amazing change over the last 2 days it was unreal. Over the course of the afternoon the cloud washed in and out over the mountain. We weren't sure of the temperature, but a lad at breakfast had told me it was -15 when we had gone snow boarding on one of the mountains the day before.

There is a lot to see in Innsbruck, but it is also a beautiful city which you can wander around for hours. It's a truly magical place with many hidden wonders and a real charm about it. Well worth a visit!
