We spent a few hours in Helsinki the next day. A nice waterfront area around the old cobblestoned market square. There was a lot of market stalls, selling souvenirs and food. There were several cruise ships tied up as well so there were a lot of people about.

There was a large park nearby with a guy playing an electric violin. We ate our lunch there ...

A very quiet and peaceful evening, blessed with no midges as it was cold but this made the skies clearer and the light and colours spectacular. No, no, no, no, shows here don't open their doors until at least 10pm, we got told. Sweet, more time to get the beers in before we go on then!

We got to Henry's Pub in Tampere about an hour later, loaded all our gear in and got shown the ...

... we went to another bar. The vibe there was really cool. They had a band playing blues.. and even had an impromptu kareoke session which was kinda strange.. but cool nonetheless. I didn't want another beer. I was feeling so bloated from drinking nothing but. Asta bought us a couple of shots of this pink stuff.. a drink made of vodka and hard candy. It was alright.. but I won't be stocking up on vodka and candy when I get home ;D
