I was happy to get the opportunity to go to the Finnish countryside and to visit Veli's parents and his family home. We were in a small village near to Pälkäne, which lies between Lahti and Tampere. It is still quite flat with farms, lakes, and fields of wheat, oats, barley and a nearby strawberry farm. In the summer, the joys of Finnish life seem to be picking berries, eating fresh fish and hunting for mushrooms. I got to do all these. I had never seen black currents growing ...

As always with Ryanair you have to go to a middle-of-no-where airport, in return we only had to pay the taxes for our flights. So we caught a bus from Helsinki to Tampere. Tampere is about 2.5 hours north of Helsinki, about halfway between Helsinki and Jyvaskyla actually. Tampere is considered a pretty big city for the Finns, about ...
... mix of people that I felt a bit sad that the conversation had to end as it was getting late. A rare thing for hostel where your room mates can be either too boisterious or guarded.
At midnight, the sky did not get dark. A blue hue hung in the sky to remind us that now in Finland, the summer sun never really sets. Heard that there will be a party on Friday night for Midsummer but unfortunately I will be gone then.
Lu wanted to know who had treated Tong to a mouthful of mud and, making use of Lightness Kung Fu * (* a type of kung fu that makes extra-fast running and super-human leaps possible.), he followed, the teacup still in his hand. The pace was fast, but the person he was following was not aware of his presence. runescape money
Lu's quarry had a slim figure and moved daintily, almost like a girl. They crossed a hill and an ink-black forest loomed ...
... owners' of one of the ultra light aircrafts that took each Team member for approx a 30 minute flight to admire the city of Tampere from the blue skies above. There were two aircrafts up in the air at one time (flying different routes of course) with one team member in each. The aircrafts only weighed 300kg in total (including 2 x passenger weight). When Deneita told Rosie how much the aircraft weighed a few days after the flight ...

The Port of Brisbane was the first fully automated Port in the world and was built by Cargotec in 2002. The automated system means that one person operates the whole Port from a control room using straddle cranes which can pick up one or two shipping containers at a time. Tampere, Western Finland, Finland d9570-gse2009... while we were up there, but there was a lovely view to water & island, as well as some pits which I guess I could believe were prehistoric graves. Next stop was also a pleasant surprise. Not far from the hill forts was a studio that used to belong to Emil Wickstrom (o umlaut there). He was the fiance for a while of Dora Wahlroos - whose exhibition we had admired at Hameenlinna. Anyway this place was his home & his studio and later the home & studio of his grandson - a famous ...

Tampere, Finland wilhelm-Well here I am in the land of the never setting sun..... Believe me when I say that I am so happy to be off the planes. Let me begin... Sydney airport dissapointed me quite a bit, I though it would be more, International. Not in the middle of renovations and full of World Youth Day youths. I orinally thought they were French, but no, not French, German... and considering why they were in Australia and what ...
Tampere, Western Finland, Finland tbling... bookshops blocking the way... The views were amazing, so I hung around there for a while, looking at the lakes and hiking around (well, not really hiking, more ambling), and the wind tried to steal my skirt at the top of the observation tower, which was NOT appreciated!! Especially after a wasp tried to steal my Pret a Manger hummous sandwich, hmph. I looked ridiculous, standing there desperately clutching my billowing skirt around ...
