Historical Traveler Reviews Rosen Centre Orlando

Surprisingly good

from anonymous

Since I don't have kids, I avoid Orlando like the plague! But it's a popular trade show city so I'm there a couple of times a year. This time the show was at the Rosen Centre and I was impressed. I stayed here once several years ago when it was the Omni. From past Orlando experiences I was hostile and ready for a hassled check-in. But, that disappeared and check-in was fast & easy. My room was as reserved, on a high floor. Decent size, squeaky clean, nice bathroom and an added bonus - high speed internet connection available. The coffee shop restaurant had a nice menu, good food and excellent service. Even when it was busy with people in a Disney-induced-stupor. The last day I was a little worried because about 1000 high school kids checked in for a DECA convention. But the hotel seemed to put all of them on the first 15 floors and rest of us adults on higher floors. This avoided a lot of conflict and was much appreciated. All in all, my stay was enjoyable and I'd definitely book here again.

For the last six years we have stayed at the Rosen Centre Hotel and it's one of the best hotels we have ever been to. We are due to stay again in june! can't wait!.The rooms are very large and are always cleaned very well. It's also the biggest hotel we have visited, it even has 3 restaurants! The pool is huge and there are plenty of things to keep you busy if you just want to chill around the hotel for the day, including a full fitness centre, tennis ect.Everything is catered for and the staff are very friendly and helpfull. The only drawback is that there is no shuttle to the theme parks. The 24 hour deli bar is a life saver if you fancy a quick bite in the middle of the night. The king of hotels on international drive! U can even see the hotel on "I4" 2 miles away it's that huge and sleek !

Rosen centre is the best

from anonymous

My family and i have stayed at the Rosen centre for many years when taking our holidays in America. My family and i have found the Rosen centre a delight to stay it. It is of an excellent standard and offers everything a family could wish for in a hotel. It is a far way from being standard as someone stated. I would recommend this hotel to everyone taking their holidays to America.

Had a Great Time!

from anonymous

We stayed at the Rosen Centre for 6 nights we took our two grandchildren to Disney World and Universal, the hotel was very comfortable and way above average. As clean as a wistle and quiet. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Great for business travel

from anonymous

I would recommend this for business, not so much for families. I don't recall seeing many children at this hotel, or family-oriented activities. I believe it is mainly a business-oriented location. The pool area is great - very large, waitress service poolside, chairs and towels available, and sunny spots all day long (and shade too if you want it). There is a decent little snack bar right nearby where you can grab a sandwich, salad, soda, etc. The hotel rooms are clean, again, very business oriented for the most part. They have a breakfast buffet that is very large, but pricey (about $15 pp with all fees).

I was very happy with my stay at the Rosen, been there three times in the past five years for conferences. Be careful during rush hour, traffic gets very busy around this hotel, as it's right next door to the HUGE convention center. Ideal hotel if you're heading to convention center for anything!

Very nice

from anonymous

I enjoyed my stay greatly and would recomend this hotel to anyone. Very clean, nice atmosphere, and great service the entire week we were there.

Pretty much a standard hotel

from anonymous

Pretty much your standard convention hotel. Rooms clean and average hotel type. Restaurant food not too great but service quick and pleasant. Right next to the convention center, but it can be a long walk if your meeting is in the far end of the convention center. A big place so the lobby can be crowded.

High point of the hotel is definitely the nice, large pool.

Not as posh as the Peabody, but it's cheaper so what do you want?

Unlike a previous poster I had no trouble with theft. In fact my camera was returned to me after I left it in my room when I checked out.

Glow with the Rosen

from Milliemo

We have stayed at the Rosen Center since it first opened as the Omini Rosen, and continue to visit on vacation at least twice a year. We love the relaxing atmostphere, the facilities are good and the food in the resturants excellent. It offers a high standard of cleanliness and the rooms are pleasant.

We have always found the staff to be very helpful and polite.

My only complaint is that it does not offer a free shuttle service to the various theme parks. this would be the icing on the cake, if this was provided.

We are due to return in December and can't wait to relax around the pool, enjoy the food and look forward to our holiday in Florida.

Hotel that likes to Steal from You

from anonymous

This hotel over-charged. On the internet, the hotel looks nice, but on arrival, the building is OLD. They have horrible service. It is not affiliated with DISNEY WORLD and provide no free shuttle to amusement parks when all of the other hotels surrounding it do. Also, the hotel employees steal customers' processions because they know managment does the same. HORRIBLE PLACE. My vacation was totally ruin by this place.

Lay Back and Relax

from anonymous

Lay back and relax and enjoy the stay. This hotel should be rated 5* if not more. The amenities are excellent and plentiful. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and management is always available. I had the pleasure of being pampered and I enjoyed every minute of it. The massages, the pool, the arcade and the various choice of restaurants. Not to mention the fact that it sits so close to so many tourist attractions that you have a hard time choosing what to do first. This hotel even has a tourist station set in the lobby so you can sign up for tours without waiting around in the line with patrons who are either trying to check into the hotel or for that matter debate checking out and going back to the normal everyday life back at home.

Camp to Florida (via W. DC and South Carolina)

A travel blog entry by jennie_hewitt

Well it has been a while since I last updated this... sorry! I left camp on Monday August 16th and started my travels to Washington DC. The last few days at camp were all a little strange - everyone tooks days to say goodbye. The sweetest part of saying goodbye was Wish Night. This is where everyone on camp is given a candle and all staff have to …
