... to drive when they are very young, so he thought it was a cultural experience for me. We stopped for a picnic lunch in Camrose before driving into the Drumheller, the heart of the Badlands where we were welcomed by the worlds largest dinosaur! We looked around a little bit, then went to our campsite to have some dinner and set up for the night.
Drumheller, Alberta, Canada matt~becca... street. I had the crispy chicken Caesar salad. We walked over the main street bridge, which crosses a green colored river, and took some photos of the awesome scenery. Again the weather was perfect. The white clouds above looked like chunks of cotton swabs, placed artistically by God on a blue sky collage.
We waved farewell to the rocky mountains as we neared Calgary. Olivia drove us around the city, just to get a sense of the area. She stopped for a Taco, at Taco Bell, and drove ...
... There were about 100 people there, mostly former students or teachers as well as a fair few family.
Also in our time in Clive we went to the Ponoka Stampede (similar to the Calgary Stampede but far fewer crowds) which was great, as well as all the normal rodeo things we got to see the chuck wagon races which were absolutely crazy. They have a team of 4 horses pulling the chuck wagons and have to do a bit of a ...
... and into rolling and flat landscape. Everything is brown as the vegetation is still in winter format. I'm back to knitting as we travel so there are fewer pictures. At Sweet Grass, MT the old station, now abandoned, has some really neat Victorian architecture. You can just imagine, early 20th century travelers to Banff and area, walking the platform as they pause as they cross the border. While we were in line for customs, we ...
Milk River, Alberta, Canada momadunc... be the BSc in Zoology coming out then. Jacob, having lived in Newfoundland, had seen moose before on various occasions (one of which having been between two slices of bread), so didn't really mind. We were late into Prince George (there's a pattern emerging here), and were picked up again by our (still absent) hostess's flatmates. Another chilled evening in their flat ensued. Nice to unwind. The trip from Jasper ...

Water Valley, Alberta, Canada trentrollings... to come. Last week, we were really busy practicing and preparing for our 1 Hour Children's Program that we had to do for Sunday School on Sunday. On Saturday morning we did our first run through of that program which turned out to be an absolute disaster and we are all pretty discouraged about it. When it came to Sunday though, the program went really well, and one boy raised his hand to accept ...
Water Valley, Alberta, Canada trentrollingsNext day we drove through the plains of Alberta which were also beautiful in their own way, well for a day at least - I still don't reckon I could handle driving all the way across Canada seeing praries for days. Before you knew it we were heading down what I thought were magnificent canyons (but are actually called "badlands") into Drumheller, Canada's version of Jurassic Park, that every Alberta kid visits pretty much ...
Drumheller, Alberta, Canada beck... trails we'll do today nor do I care. I'm a wreck. Ironic how the best time of my life is turning into one of the worst. 11:10 - Started a long hike somewhere. I wasn't really paying attention nor do I really care. A hike will be good just to think about things and the longer the better. The hike to the waterfall was easy but long. 11:50 - Reached the waterfall. It was small but nice. The hike to the lake was very strenuous in the beginning. We had to take a break after 10 ...
