    ... they flashed past the car window were elephant seals sunning on the beach (the rain had finally passed). Shortly after this there was a viewing spot and another beach covered in lumps ... we watched them for a while, they just amuse me how they all crowd each other and occasionally shovel sand onto themselves.     ... Its beef, seasoned mostly with salt, pepper, lots of garlic and grilled over a wood or charcoal fire. The favorite way to serve this tasty meat is sliced on French or Sourdough bread.     ... Obispo county is a great little place, not sure if it is the happiest place on earth or even the fourth happiest but it "sure is nice". Would definitely stop off in Pismo, Shell or Grover Beach if ever we were passing this way again. Tomorrow morning we head further up Highway One and really get to the most scenic part of our journey. Can't wait, it will be so exciting.

    ... I had looked around everything it was back down in the bus and meet up with Marlene in the visitor's centre. She had picked up lunch for us while I was on the tour (from a nearby village). We were to have a picnic lunch but with the weather being a bit dicey we had our lunch outside in the sun at the visitors centre.
