... it was monday, and of course museums are closed. a major storm also came in and the scaffolding in front of a construction site that i had just walked past was now blown over and flapping in the wind. lucky me for narrowly escaping death!

for the most part, the old historic part of town was pretty dead as it is the end of tourist season, but i was able to check out the harbour, Hadrian's gate, and a few other sites.

... Med, once again.

We toured the ruins, I stuck my toe into the Med, and then retreated back for a little siesta. We had a time change last night, and kinda screwed my clock up.

We plan on staying here 2 nights, then on to Kas.

... once I got to Shiraz. There I would find their office. I expected to wire them some money (as per the instructions on their web site) before I arrived in Iran. I emailed them to clarify the confusion as I thought I couldnt get my visa until I paid this fee. I got a simple response from the stating "We trust you just like we trust all of our clients. We look forward to meeting you at our office in Shiraz." I think I will like the Iranians! This would never happen ...

... I asked the owners also didn't know. We had this meal nearly all by ourselves and for dessert they served halvah... delicious! We liked this town so much that we decided to stay a second night but the hotel was booked so we had to check out and go next door to Aida Hotel. The walk was pleasant, at least, because a strong breeze kept it from being stiflingly hot, and I talked with a nice English girl named Wendy for most of the journey.
