I made it to Lagos yesterday. Its basically a beach/party town. The second place that I walked into turned out to be a really great room for 25 euros a night complete with my first english language tv of the trip. Today I spent part of the day in Sagres, the southwestern most point in europe. Good for pictures and walking really really far. Tomorrow I´m going to attempt to get to Seville.
... the city. Lagos is such a small but beautiful town. The people are more friendly than I've experienced thus far here in Spain. The shops are soo unique, just like the city they are filled with so much life and culture.
I feel so tremendously lucky, I never thought I'd have such an opportunity to be able to travel like this. Our world is so full of culture and I've only begun to explore it!
... bongs. But, what was funny was that the countries on there included, get this...Canada..okay....USA...okay...Ire land...Got ya..Poland, wow....now, under Austria ther was Alaska...****en..ALASKA..I pointed it out to the bartender and he goes. And i didnt notice until ater when i tasted ...
Lagos, Algarve, Portugal kciarnie... skills by making a grilled vegetable, lemon pasta. Eating on the hostel rooftop terrace made it that much better. Dessert included wine, beer and a night out on the town.
The second day we were there we wanted to do a kayak safari and tour the coast, grottos and exlusive beaches. Unfortunately for us, but it is a good thing, the safari was cancelled due to the massive swells. As we went to the beach later, we saw what they meant. Huge waves ...
... fishbowls' and Megg REALLY liked them.. or REALLY didn't like them, whichever way you want to look at it. The 'having a good time' part of the night didn't last quite as long as I would have liked, but a cousin's gotta do what a cousin's gotta do - we are family!
Anyway, we had a big sleep-in the next day, and we were supposed to go sea kayaking but luckily for Megg the sea was too rough and it got postponed (Phew!). So Megg slept most of the day and I chilled on the beach ...
... lucky to have her in my life & I'd really like to get a replacement ring.
If anyone is visiting and is able to drop off a few rings to a nearby resort. My friend owns a timeshare and the people at the resort will pay you to make it worth your while.
Thanks,
Andy

... about perfect and the most direct. QF9 Mel to Lon, then switching airports in London to catch BA2694 to Faro), and the timings meant we missed a lot of the crowds and traffic, particularly in London - so well done to Yvonne who pulled together our travel arrangements.
There were a few things we had to watch along the way - mainly in London, for instance, there is now a shuttle bus service that runs between London Heathrow and Gatwick airports (so no longer a ...
... Ended up surfing one day with a Crazy Englishman who loved to talk a pulling his pud, the friendliest Welshman, a relatively quiet Irishman, a very cool yank and a couple of spanish lads as well. The change of pace was a great decision in the end, a lot more chilled out, scored some epic waves and made some really good mates along the way. So to some things up- first trip as a solo traveler- complete success!
Lagos, Algarve, Portugal rusty_oz... a great time, but I was exhausted after a while! Unfortunately, there wasn't a basket on the bike, so I didn't get to take any photos. The coast was nice, too, but the weather was starting to get chilly (60's with a strong breeze). We liked riding around the old town, but it started to get dark and I was too scared to ride around at night with the way the people drove around. The next day, we went back to the bus station and headed off to...Lisbon!
