... was going pretty slow, mainly due to the need not to run over any children, in fact, it took nearly two hours to cover a 2km loop through the town.....that's a hell of a lot of sweets they need to carry! We ducked and dived the backstreets because the streets that the procession was following were narrow and heavily packed. We managed to watch the whole procession three times on three different streets.....I have no idea why we did this, either ...

We took the easy way out and went for a one-day tour of places north of Barcleona. Only four of us total on the tour - plus a guide - so very personal.

... We are also very close to the Costa Brava, the rugged coastline that runs up to the French border, so there are many seaside villages along the coast. The area doesn't seem as built-up and commercialized as the Costa del Sol but we can imagine that it gets very busy in the high season...right now we are the only people in many places we go!
