First, I should say that I never use the term "Xmas," which I think is an ugly word, but I couldn't resist the ridiculous rhyme.

We are now in Lexington, KY, having finished the first leg of the nearly 1200 mile driving tour. We ran around like crazy this morning doing chores--most of which would have been done yesterday if the power hadn't gone ...

The weather here in KY is expected to be extra cold this winter and this new coop in near a power source so a light can be put in to help them stay warmer. The chickens are molting now and now doing much egg production and with winter coming they won't be ...

      Time with friends

We have been visiting the McCullough/Vasbinder family this week and having a great time catching up with them. The weather has been cool but sunny and we aren't missing the rain that has come to Seattle. As we drove south to here we could see the fall colors heading the same direction. Gary has really enjoyed being the passenger for this trip so he can do all the looking. He has also been the navigator and using the GPS with frustration sometimes and ...
