... The quay at Skinningrove is being renovated so the access to the beach is restricted and at one point we had this long sandy beach all to ourselves. We had set a marker on the sand and when the incoming tide passed the marker we set off again on the journey home. The day before had been her funeral and I was to fly the 9000 + mile flight to the city of Perth the very next day. It seemed to of happened very quickly, my mother had passed away on the 16th ...

... walk to the Hurlingham Club for a delicious lunch and a celebratory glass of wine. There are lots of catching up to do!

We relax for the rest of the day, share dinner with Anne, a friend of Suellen, and then retire early as the jet lag kicks in telling our bodies it's a silly time in the early morning. The snooze is broken with the fabulous news that Andrew and Lynsay have given birth to a beautiful little girl, Ella Grace. It sounds ...
