... finally reached the other in-operation chairlift, and finally found somewhere we could have lunch. It was more of a proper alpine restaurant rather than a quaint hut, but we were just happy to have some food. I had spinach ravioli, and Jess had a platter of various sliced meats, cheeses and bread. The walk back to the chairlift we'd come up on was only about a 20 minute return along the main path, but across it were two thin sticks of plastic - one from each side ...

As Jess was wearing my waterproof pants I was just wearing Draggin' Jeans with thermals underneath, and so my bottom half quickly got saturated. It was all very ...

We got up bright and early, and set course for our first choice of campsite, which was in a prime spot for visiting Venice for the day. We arrived early afternoon, set up camp and caught the next ferry (or fairy) over to Venice. The ferry takes just 20 minutes, during which we could see a huge contrast between the industrialized areas on the mainland, and the beautiful architecture of Venice as ...

... in Europe felt the same way, as there were probably more than at IOM TT. We found a glacier by taking a wrong turn, but not as spectacular as the ones in NZ. The most beautiful bells chimed out in unison all around us on Sunday morning at our hotel - perfect. We had lunch in a gorgeous little village called Heiligenblut, that overlooked a beautiful valley.
We will have very special memories of this area forever ...
