A little bit more of Freising

finally i managed to do a bit of shopping even here))) but talking about places to eat it's a great problem... all these restaurants that seemed to be very nice from ouside, turned out awful inside (design, level, service, food, etc)... once again we found a good one, but we spent about 20 min for that(((( but probably it was just a bad luck...

----

к&#107 2;к мо&#1078 ...

Bavaria welcomed me with 20 degrees (November!!!) that was just cool after 0 in Moscow)))
And especially it was funny to see Christmas decoration and souveneers walking just in t-shirt )
Evening was spent in Munich in fact, right in the centre, and the first impression is just great: quiet, beautiful, nice people...

---

з&#10 72;видуй& #1090;е все, в Бавар&#10 ...

... mechanical and when turned on they lit up while trains and horse carriages moved across the scene, miners struck the earth with their pick axes, a nosy old man stuck his head out a house window. The tiny town of Seiffen was up next; it was their crafting of wooden toys that put them on the world map. When their mines dried up lots of miners turned to wood crafting to make a buck, so they have a rich history in toy making, going back some 300 years. We ...

Corsica! Or not?

... views of the surrounding landscape before we made our way back along the blue waters. The next day we drove west, cutting across the Cap Corse to the opposite coast. The peninsula is only fifteen kilometers wide as the crow flies, but by twisty up and down roads is a much longer drive. We made a short stop in Centuri-Port on the west coast of Cap Corse, an old fishing village whose industry was hampered when asbestos killed much of the offshore marine life when it was ...

... one reason being the headlights on the van aren't the best. When the sun fell on us tonight, it was slow and concentrated driving the rest of the way. The last thing we needed, and which, of course, we got, was a massive thunder/lightning storm with driving rain. The hot road mixed with the cool downpour to make a low, swirling fog that gave the illusion the street was moving beneath us. At the very least, the lightning display we had through our windshield was fine entertainment, but ...

... s sister's car, which we borrowed to pick up our van, and when Yvonne got back in the van, wouldn't you know it...it wouldn't start! We just picked it up from being inspected and worked on and now this. Beautiful. We called up the mechanic and he came out within ten minutes. It took a while to get it started, but he eventually did it and we drove it back to the shop. He found a loose screw or part or something on the fuel filter, which they just changed, and that was the ...

Prepping for the road

... nothing else needs to be done! We'll soon find out (I do suspect some brake work might be required). We've also been keeping entertained by Babette's one year old cat...so aptly named, "Kitty". She's a real treat...she's possibly the craziest cat ever. It's like a carnival spook house around here sometimes. She has these spots (like her little cat house and the top perch of her scratching post) where she'll hide, then jump out at unsuspecting passersby ...

... the flag's width and weighted at the bottom. Among other things they tossed them to one another over distances of 20+ feet. Each performer was supposed to catch the flag and continue without the flag ever touching the ground. The flags they used were heraldically correct for the areas represented at the "Hochzeit," so it would be an insult for the flag to hit the ground. (Unfortunately, a couple of them did.) Next was the ring spearing contest. Concentric rings were hung from a ...

Our last day in Freising. Rick went to work and I took the S-Bahn to Hauptbahnhof. I found where the city a bus tour began and after dashing back to the train station to get change, I bought a ticket. Included in the tour was a visit to the Olympic Stadium and the tower ...
