... Skype, candy crush, minecraft, the zipper, the pacemaker, soft drink and haemodialysis machines....not to mention Volvo! We stumble across an ancient little pub and stop for a drink and snack and to warm up after lunch. The hospitality is warm and we admire our surroundings. A place I can see Robin Hood frequently...until Max tells me there is no way he would be seen among the common folk for all to see. Point taken. The tiny Christmas market had only a few stalls but ...

We didn’t do much other than download TV programmes including episode 6 of the 'Honourable Woman’ (highly recommended by The Times by the way and all episodes available on BBC iPlayer) our laundry and generally mooch about. The wind, which was blowing at a F5 top end, was such that we could sail with unreefed ...

... a couple of hours later when our boats passed one another!

On the subject of passing, a bit about good seamanship and what NOT to do. There was a boat in front of us, that we were catching up with slowly, actually sailing. I was deeply impressed, as he was making great progress to windward with both sails up. Now engines give way to sail and therefore, when his path crossed ours we naturally gave way to him. However, much to my ...

... SW F3 winds, a real pleasure. At this leisurely speed, about 5mph, you can enjoy the passing scenery and be quite relaxed and of course, the sunshine helped. However, it looked like this particular ingredient was about to become limited as the clouds were gathering and looked quite threatening.

The anchorage is described in the pilot as follows 'Bondekrok /Ängholmen’ (the smaller island that makes the sound between the two islands an ...
