... Bangkok, but I’m leaning towards spending a week horseback riding somewhere in the UK. I’ve found several fairly reasonable trips that I’m considering and I probably should decide soon if this is what I want to do.
I’m sure the next 6 weeks here in Vienna are going to fly by. The Christmas Markets open on or around November 14th, I will definitely be hitting those up, and of course I need to do ...
... but not too far inland, so from the top you get an excellent view of the river weaving through the lush green valley, wineyards and corn fields. The ruins themselves are enchanting. It was really nice to stand on the top walls and soak up the sun and the view. Also from the castle ruins you can see a corn maze down below. The maze is groomed to look like a knight on horseback, and you can see that clearly from so high above.

She was still there in the morning and as friendly as the night before. The rooms were comfortable and the food was good, and the price was great, but unfortunately I can't remember the name of the hotel! Hopefully I have a receipt with their name somewhere so I can do some advertising for them.
After breakfast we drove back to Melk and parked near the river. We walked ...
... good poppyseed buns, but they were pretty bad with the preserves - I didn't notice until too late, but there was tons of salt sprinkled on them. Everybody in Hallstatt must have high blood pressure with the amount of salt they ingest! On the boat to the train station - somebody finally guessed that I'm Chinese, and not Korean or Japanese! As I finished putting on my backpack and readied to get off, I felt somebody ...
Melk, Lower Austria, Austria pwong... very old Gothic cathedral but in reality it is Neo-Gothic, built in 1856. There were kids skate-boarding on the steps of the church and the scaffolding had billboards on them. (a little strange). Going into this church was a bit eerie. It was cold and dark coming through the large thick doors. But once we got in it was not longer eerie but incredibly breath-taking (I have yet to be in a church yet here that ...

Vienna, Austria laurinaway... will never see anything like this anywhere. In fact, there is not another of its kind and is the largest scientifically researched collection of skulls and bones in the world. All are individually painted, arranged by family lineage including dates of death. Fascinating site and as you would expect, not a big crowd!! :) We braved the rain storm (jackets were at the hotel in Salzburg) but we had our handy camera bag covers to protect our equipment and they worked great ...
Hallstatt, Austria rlineurope... it was still fun, Tim took off for a bit closer and I just watched from the outside! Though the best part was when the guitarist through his guitar pick into the crowd and Tim got it! He was stoked, good but a long night and early a start the next day! Saturday On to Bratislava and we got a really cheap bus only £1.60, on to our hotel and we were not happy, the room wasn't ready - not out of the norm, but once we got up into the room, what a room, no ...
Salzburg, Austria giovanna... Wienerberg proved to be unsuccessful as it was not a hill with an outlook. Kursalon - Strauss and Mozart Koncerte. It is a small concert hall with a smaller orchestra (piano, violins, violas, bass, clarinet, flute, french horn, trumpet, percussion) that played the musts of Strauss and Mozart. Singers and dancers at times emerged to join the orchestra. It was a perfect combination of symphony, dance and opera. Hostel - Strawberry Youth Hostel Vienna to Prague - 11:08am-3.25pm 43.8Euros
Vienna, Austria ajpeel... floor. I danced away the night and met a few interesting travellers from the states, Kuwait along with a few friendly Viennesse locals. There was no cover charge and the drinks were a very respectable 3 euro. Who says Vienna can break the budget? I stayed till 5am and when I left it was light outside. But I still got disoriented and very lost in Vienna. It took me 3 hours to get back to my hostel because I had to rely on public transport and local knowledge to ...
