... and watches from the wings. Then sheºs in... battered and bruised as she battles those gladiator waves to enter the playground. Ok, letºs try again... getting past those rollers as they come into shore aint so easy... and they do it again... it was the washing machine effect and sheººs out for good this time. Lym grinning on the horizon for the next 15mins bobbing up and down as there are no waves out there, then he gets the Bold 2 in 1 ...
Montinhos da Luz, Faro, Portugal lymandannabelle... we awoke around 8am) start, it was time to stock up on provisions from the Intermarche, the Portugues version of a large supermarket. We have noticed a wide variation in prices for eg bread which is very well baked,is cheaper than in the uk. the same goes for beer and wine also fruit and veg. not so items which are imported such as alpen (euro 5 a box pg tips euro 2.40 for 80. Anyhow having stocked up we headed to Praia Mos, a little too late to ...
Lagos, Algarve, Portugal lymandannabelle... above the river Odeceixe which runs out to the Atlantic. This was an idyllic location and though the tide was all wrong to surf, we parked up on the river bank within sight of the ocean: an absolutely fantastic location which was all ours complete with open fire. We commented on how different the Portuguese attitude is to free camping; its almost part of their constitution!
Praia de Odeceixe, Faro, Portugal lymandannabelle... it was pretty tame until one of the toreadors almost got trampled by one of the bulls, the dude was lucky they dulled the tip of the bulls horns.

... there, he was hilarious and exactly like a euro version of an American beach bum.
We also went to check out the lagoon, I got out for a couple tacks, the wind was super light and I crashed my kite and it deflated... fun. I had to walk my kite back through shallow water ...
... hole... umm, little scary for me. at night we had a few drinks with the austrian boys from the hostel and then we headed out... we went to "inside out" again first then a few others. our last club was called "grand cafe" and it was the first proper club weve been too and it was so awesome! we got up on the podium and danced til 5-6am or so. i met some pretty cool people... met my first overseas aussie... his name is damien and from sunbury, victoria ...
Lagos, Algarve, Portugal miss-vixen... rocks and we entered a couple of the grottos. He had to time his entry with the waves so as not to crash into the rocks. The whole effect was both scary and exciting. On our return we thanked the talented skipper and headed back to town. We had not yet explored the fort which is the most prominent 'old' thing in Lagos so we thought that we might as well have a look today. It is very small and... quaint would be the right word. Inside there were a couple of ...
Lagos, Portugal guykb... on the beach with wine and dessert. Not a bad way to celebrate!! Almost everything was great in Portgal except for the fact that my purse was lost/stolen, including my ID, bank card, and CAMERA :( So sad. All my pics from Budapest on were still on my camera and now they are gone forever. So I spent part of one day in the police station filing a police report (It took almost two hours... life is sooo much slower there!) I am of ...
Lagos, Portugal misschristie... stay a little longer than we had planner. Named The Rising Cock, it was one of the homeliest hostels we've stayed in so far. It was run by a mother and son team, with a few permanent helpers who were obviously one of those who stuck around Lagos a whole lot longer than they had planned for. The mother refused to be called by anything other than 'Mama' and she really did live up to her name; busying herself keeping the place ...
Lagos, Portugal jbaxter... one had less people so I went down to the beach and then walked through the tunnel in the rocks to the next cove. This cove was perfect, there were only 4 people (including myself) here and plenty of shade. I wanted to go swimming but was worried about leaving my bag on the beach, so the smaller and less crowded the beach the better in my mind. I locked my bag and took the key with me (tied to my togs) and never took my eye off my bag while I splashed around for 20 minutes or ...
