... was definitely my favorite! It was filled with cafes, chocolate shops, museums, and cute little shops. We went to the Galleria Nationale Dell'umbria, which had tons and tons of crazy cool paintings, sculptures, and artifacts. At the last minute we threw the noodles into salted boiling water and let them cook for about 5 minutes, pulling them when they were al dente and letting them finish cooking just a tiny bit in the sauce before everything was ready to be served.

The RS guidebook explained many of the Giotto frescoes that detail Francis' life, call to the priesthood, miracles etc. The very popular "Sermon to the Birds" was there.
