An early start sees Mr Young take a stroll to find the people carrier monorail to take us to the port and watch people and Venetian life go by - better than the Parisian walkways or the streets of London.

... expensive we went for it. Best thing we had done. We toured the grand canal which runs through the city, saw all the popular buildings, bridges and enjoyed our private tour guide as well. He could not have done a better job for us. We also went to some of the smaller canal areas where the people actually live and work. A great experience for us both.
