      ... helping Mum out of the gondola he slipped on the slime on the stairs and almost went for a swim into the grand canal. Thank goodness for the post he held onto which stopped him from going in drink.

      We boarded a flight to Lisbon out of Venice with TAP, the main Portuguese airline. It was our first introduction to Portuguese culture, we were greeted with hola as we walked on. The safety video was the most enlightening part. It was filmed with children and had jokes and comedic scenes worked into the typical information about exit ramps and flotation devices. At the end they even showed bloopers. I am going to love this culture.

      Parmesan cheese originated in the area around Parma, Italy. Italians also created many other cheeses, including Gorgonzola, mozzarella, provolone, and ricotta. After a while in the shop i left and caught a gondola back towards the hotel. It was in the evening and the sky had turned that mellow yellow and that fiery, orange colour with a hint of light purple. It was so amazing i took some photo's of it for a some great memories. ...
