... It was here where she settled to raise her family. This strong, independent woman was decades before her time. She always lived independently but never did learn how to drive car. In to her 80’s, Grandma Sig raised African Violets. She took out an ad in The Kitchen Klatter and soon she was walking her African Violets down to the Post Office and shipping them all over the Midwest. She had quite a mail order business going!

... little hungry, so I attempted to find something to eat, if it wasn't the language barrier getting in my way, it was sticker shock. To give you an idea, 1 Canadian dollar is equivalent to approximately 6.30 Swedish Krona, so seeing price tags with 60 on it for a sandwich was a little overwhelming. I finally settles on a chicken wrap, for only 48 krona, what a steal!

After Dublin, Västerås seems lacking, but it is back to classes until the next trip. This would be a good place to add that I have never felt unsafe in this city, even walking late at night or early in the morning. There are no neighborhoods that I have found that are not safe. Public transportation is also user friendly, although I have heard that this is not the case ...

... time I had a home cooked meal, so it was such a treat!

Later in the evening Jessica's friend Gabbe came to say hello, and the three of us girls had more wine and talked about traveling, politics and all of us being in the U.K next year. After some coffee and kanelbullar, we said goodnight to Gabbe and then Jess and I crawled into bed- so nice to be in a real bed as opposed to weeks in a hostel!
