Xonrupt-Longemer to Friedrichshafen 170 miles France empty, Germany full. That was a hard, tense drive. But first, apologies to Guy in France. Yes indeed, that was Vosges. ... lot near the train station, and had a bit of a walk back. We dropped off our stuff in the room, headed into town, and grabbed a nice casual dinner at an outdoor café at the Altes Rathaus. Delicious asparagus with Black Forest Ham, Tafelspitz (boiled beef with horseradish sauce), and Hahnchen Kurbis (chicken with sweet potatoes).
