It was with much sadness that we had to leave Faschina today. Packing, breakfast, and paying bills was just depressing. A sunny morning, we would have rather been staying and going for another lovely walk. But they say all good things must come to an end, so sad as it was we packed the bags into the minivans, and headed off towards Feldkirch. There was one more place to visit however, a local monastery. The ...
... metre. Being our last night, Patrick and Maree met us at 6:00 in the "purple room" for a debrief of the trip. Everyone expressed their enjoyment of the ten days and their appreciation for Patrick's, Anja's and Maree's efforts. Patrick and Anja's then joined us for our final dinner, yet another culinary delight. It is really hard writing this knowing that tomorrow we will leave. It was probably the best cake we had had to date - apricot cake served with cream and ice cream. ...
... got out of the car we were shocked by the sudden cold fresh air after being so hot in Europe for a few weeks. We really loved this place and although it was really quiet for us we could imagine how crazy and busy it would be during the ski season. We just couldn't imagine driving up those treacherous roads in the snow. It was pretty scary looking down over the edges in summer. We are halfway to Germany now and will continue on tomorrow. Bye for now. Grace
