... we are fortunate to find Ristorante Bar Peter that has stayed open. It is thronged with motorcyclists sheltering from the hail. The lunch there is surprisingly good, and we are impressed with a Serbian waitress who speaks five languages fluently, including Spanish. She tells us that she is engaged to a Spaniard from the Canary Islands and will be be going to live there this summer.

We get through a relaxed lunch. Perhaps too relaxed, as we realise that we don’t have time ...

... fries(fancy style) and Ash had spaghetti bolognaise. The dishes were expensive, mine costing about $30 and Ash's costing $25 but what shocked us even more was the €6 each bottle of coke we had with it. That's $18 for two bottle of coke! And no the bottles weren't gold! And no there was no alcohol in the drink either. Massive rip off! Luckily the food was good otherwise I'd have been really spewing! Our last night in Europe. We are looking forward to the comforts of home ...

... cost as I wasn't happy paying it. Speaking to him I told him, with lots of action,(he spoke little English) the ridiculous price for such poor clothes that were overly large and old. I thought it would be too rude to write a negative number so I wrote €30 for both. He reluctantly came back with the price of €40 and was obviously annoyed so I agreed, paid and was out of there! What a joke. We certainly should have brought our gear with us! That'll teach ...
