Romantik is a bit much to say, but it's a nice hotel. It's in an old building so there is some sound of moving parts (such as floor boards). The location is very central regarding the old town and the sights.

... It was rowed by a huge guy who's uncle builds Pletnas. On to the island and up another 99 steps. Sheesh. I forgot about those. Jeff pulled the bell. I pulled the bell. Back down the 99 steps. Group photo. Pletna back to the shore. We sat towards the back this time. Back on the bus and we headed up to the Bled Castle. Great views from up there. Jeff used the printing press. We watched someone make a bottle of wine (which ...

We joined Jure at his work and even though it was cold we went into the lake and down the waterslide. After we said goodbye we drove back to Austria many km's. In the evening we met our friend Sake in Kärnten who was playing some musk at his friend’s birthday party. Sake used to play music on Koh Chang and is very good. He plays the blues. Had dinner and ...

We woke from our kind of sleep to stunning views from the windows as the train neared Villach and the Austrian Alps. We had realised that we were close to the Rosental valley, so decided that we should have a quick explore before finding a campsite with the aim of finding some tacky Rosental souvenir. This took us to Klagenfurt where we parked and wandered. The town was nice enough and we found our Austrian mascot, but a combination of tired bodies and grumpy Austrians meant we decided ...

... had been in Canada, and both were set amongst the snow capped Rocky Mountains, however I think that we may have been spoiled. The spa at Ptuj was a busy water park not a relaxing spa, and we made a hasty departure. The town did however provide a chance to stretch our legs and have lunch, and like every town we visited Ptuj had an Aldi, or Hofer as they call it in Slovenia, which was where ...
