Romantik is a bit much to say, but it's a nice hotel. It's in an old building so there is some sound of moving parts (such as floor boards). The location is very central regarding the old town and the sights.

This morning we drove through Slovenia's only National Park. The park covers a few mountains near the Slovenia, Italy, and Austria borders. The road over the mountain contains 50 switchbacks/hairpin turns; that doesn't count other turns, just the severe ones! Grant, had the pleasure of driving with other drivers who like to use both lanes, along with motorcycles, ...

... mountains. The water of the Soca River is bright turquoise and absolutely beautiful! The town we are in tonight, Bovec, is very small. The apartment is nothing to get excited about, but it's only 1 night and it's relatively inexpensive! We have loved every minute of our travels in Slovenia. Tomorrow we will drive through the country's only national park, which has 50 hairpin turns...something tells me that will be both exciting and ...

... if not a bit cheaper. We chatted for a while and took a number of photos before saying farewell and heading back to town to see if Margs servicing had also been successful. Once again there was no need for worry as she looked lovely and discussed flying the young Austrian hairdresser to Australia when she needed her hair done. We decided a cruise along the Drau River was a nice way to conclude our final day in Villach before heading on our way once ...

... knew how to respond quickly to calls of 'left' and 'right'. Then with everyone trained, we pushed the rafts down the bank and into the Sava River. It was an exciting ride, not the most challenging rafting trip I have ever been on, but a good introduction for Sam and Blake. When the trip was over, we were picked up again by our German speaking driver and swept rapidly back into town.

Lunch was eaten on the balcony of the ...
