Romantik is a bit much to say, but it's a nice hotel. It's in an old building so there is some sound of moving parts (such as floor boards). The location is very central regarding the old town and the sights.

... middle of nowhere. Adam finds his dream lunch of a sloppy dish filled with beans, potatoes and huge smelly sausage. I find mine, blueberry strudel. Life is so good! Apparently every Slovenian lunch must start with a shot of the local Grappa. The ride home was much easier.

There's a beautiful church there so we spent a little time walking around, dipped in the water and headed back to shore. • Hiked up to the Bled Castle which has a fairytale lookout over the lake and mountains and enjoyed a glass of wine- very romantic❤️ • We ate at Pizza Rustica- yummy pizza! • Rented bikes and rode to Vintgar Gorge- a lovely display ...

... back from the waterfall. I guess if you are skiing and when it's covered in snow it is quite picturesque. In the summer it is at best shabby. The only really good viewpoint is the cable car platform, otherwise it is a place to start walking trails. There is a cafe and a fairly scrubby area with a set of binoculars from where you could see Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia, if only it hadn't been covered in cloud! So we waited 30 minutes for the ...

... an easy walk although not wheelchair friendly. But the views are stunning, photos do not do it justice, you can see to the bottom of deep pools where perch and trout loiter avoiding the fishermen further downstream. The waterfalls and rills of fast running water are mesmerising and we walk for about an hour then stop for the inevitable coffee and water back at the ticket office before coming back into town ...
