Romantik is a bit much to say, but it's a nice hotel. It's in an old building so there is some sound of moving parts (such as floor boards). The location is very central regarding the old town and the sights.

We are here in Villach and it hasn't stopped snowing since we arrived! There is about a foot of snow on the roooftops.

The hotel is lovely! Really nice spa and the rooms are a good size! Free wifi so I'm happy! Parking was a nightmare though!

... have a serious little challenge on my hands. As we speak the Alps are
also having problems at the moment with the weather. The lower parts are flooded
and the upper passes are snowed under so roads from all angles are closed.
Problem I now have is getting through there without having closed roads slammed
in my face every half hour.
I could stick to motorways and get to Amsterdam within two days but 1000

Maybe a Chisholm student would have offered? Today the rain has fallen all day. We bused to Spitall and used the wifi at the Schloss Cafe. My laptop would not work properly! Lucky the iPads allowed us to book rail tickets for next week and catchup on mail etc. we also organised a taxi to take us to the station ...

Not sure if it has happy ending or not! We did get to see Klagenfurt........we can now tick that of the Bucket List. We did get on the bus to Venice but now the baby sister is having her baby sister nap. The old sister is having her nanny nap safe in the knowledge that the bus only goes as far as ...

Dam just a short run from base and we passed some amazing waterfalls and arrived with not another person around - not a bad thing to be alone when you are stood on a glass platform at 200m. Back into Gmund for a look around the Porche Museum and town, quick bite to eat with a rather indulgent Iced Coffee.
