I have some reservations about Tavistock being twinned with Celle. About 12 miles up the road from the city is the site of Bergen-Belsen, one of the Nazi's most notorious concentration camps.
How on earth could the town's inhabitants not know what was on their doorstep?

The welcome was warm, the service was great and the coffee afterwards - a good fellowship experience. Following the service out hosts took us to a place not far away where part of ...

Engraved and enshrined memories of Jewish Families who lived in these houses who were dragged and dispossessed of their properties to be shot or transported to one of many Concentration camps never to return to the tranquil charm of Celle. Thankfully distracted from the blemishes of brutality, we investigated the Palace, its gardens and the Museum of Modern Art (do we have to Werner..?) and German Medieval ...
