Day 1: I get moving early and go across to the little cafe in the square for the BnB provided breakfast of tea or coffee and a croissant. They have free wifi which works. Yes! The BnB wifi is useless! After breakfast I head off to the boat pier and get a day ticket for the Middle lakes area. 15 euro and can be used to get to Villa Carlotta, Bellagio, Menaggio and back to Varenna. It's beautiful on the ...

We wandered throughout the lakeside park and town square for a few hours before jumping on the ferry again and headed for Varenna.

Unfortunately most of the lunch places along the lake were closed still and so we found a ...

Daylight savings began today and Sue happened to put her clock forward 2 hours and had everything packed by 6am before realising that it was very quiet outside.
We left Innsbruck and made our way towards Bellagio with the GPS sending us via St Moritz. Of course Lou was a bit worried about whether the road would be open all the way and how Sophie would cope. This was the quickest way and cut out about 2 hours so we took the gamble.
The driving between mountains was ...

... imagine it. The people seem happy but have a pretty lax attitude to most things. Bored border guards, bored shop attendants, bored bored bored. They seem to live to shop and eat. Shop for coats, shoes bread and cheese while the menu is pasta, cold meats, pasta and cheese and pasta... you get the idea. The coffee is great and in the tourist areas, be prepared to be ripped off big time! Its all part of the experience. All the dudes ...
