... house whilst we visited the tea estate. We vaguely knew which direction we had to walk in to get to Happy Valley Tea Estate but ended up in a busy food market on the way and through a sickening meat market where the smell was unbearable and the flies unremitting. Needless to say we moved out of there very quickly. Arriving at the tea estate, we were sad to find that the factory was closed on a Sunday but we were still allowed to look around the plantations.   • Set off at 9:30, following a steep Jeep trail to a monastery and tea shop at Chitrey (2400m). Stopped for a tea break and met three guys from Prague, who were very nice.
  • Technically, we had crossed back into Nepal at the monastery, no real

    ... slivovicè -which I don't imagine many have tried but basically it's just quite foul drink with no redeeming features. This is much the same. There isn't really any sweetness, fruit flavours or anything desirable, it's just wheaty, alcoholic tasting bluergh.     ... strike and no drivers are allowed to work so we are having a walking tour if this town. Visited the Observatory Hill where Makahal Temples are as well as monkeys which we kept an eye on as they are happy to get fruit from your bags, Botanical Gardens, Chowrasta markets and then we were let loose for the afternoon.

    ... where we went wrong! After another 15 minutes up the correct road we finally reached the Peace Pagoda and Japanese Temple. We were met with prayer drums echoing through the misty hills.
