From rustic to 5 star luxury.

... nice hot shower in luxurious bathroom ,wandered down to garden terrace with it's views and fabulous rose gardens and were presented with bottle of local wine and nibbles. Watched the sun go down, at 9 o'clock moved inside (getting a bit chilly) and were served a sumptuous dinner. Only one other couple staying so we were treated like royalty. What a change from Grazalema! Don't get me wrong we loved the village of Grazalema but this is a welcome change.

Back at the campsite, the children were in full voice, the
teenagers were smoking in the toilets and general mayhem ensued until the early
hours of the morning. Let’s hope they all go home tomorrow.

... automatic property gate close on me. Little 6 year old Nicolas was almost crying in the backseat saying, ¨Tengo miedo mamá! Por favor, conduces tú!" (I am scared Mom. You drive please!) Nuria also admitted later that during the first few minutes of the drive I also woke her up out of her slumber!

An hour later, everybody was home safe and sound. Driving is Spain is truly out of my comfort zone... :)

... all to spend it with a really great group of children who behaved brilliantly on their first major trip away from home. I am sure I write on behalf of Mr. Barnes and Miss. Prynne when I say that I miss it already!

Lastly, but certainly not least, we´d like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the Gredos Centre, to the expertise of the monitors and to all the animals who can now have their home back until the next school visit!

Biking, Cookery and Valdeascas!

... a sad end to the wonderful outdoor activities on offer here for the children. Mountain Biking is one of those and yesterday afternoon 2 groups were the first to go and the the third completed the programme today. A very scenic route was passed on 2 wheels for those in small groups of 8 plus 2 instructors. The journey consisted of a small visit around the local village here of Navarredona, stopping off at a very comfortable roadside eatery, where Ice Creams ...
