      ... English.We were soon settled in a lovely room with views half way to the moon! Guy sussed out strong Chilean connection of gorgeous owner (photos on wall, books on table in lounge etc) and spent pleasant half hour or so in Chilean repartee with Inigo O'Shea Prats (how's that for name!). He is Spanish but has spent considerable time in Chile - he almost built his hotel there but decided on this beautiful mountain in Spain because weather was better all year ...

      Back at the campsite, the children were in full voice, the
      teenagers were smoking in the toilets and general mayhem ensued until the early
      hours of the morning. Let’s hope they all go home tomorrow.

      ... fan, but I actually enjoyed Fernando´s beer!

      After the open house, we drove about 2 miles to Fernando´s dad´s finca - or country home with a vineyard, chickens, etc. Molly loved it there. She said that is the kind of house that she would like someday - minus the African animal taxidermed mounts throughout the house...

      The kids swam while the women prepared a feast. We sat down about 10:30 ...

      ... 9am. “ALL WALKING STICKS MUST BE RETURNED TO THE FRONT DOOR“. 10 o’ clock was departure time, and goodbyes were said to the lodge staff. A 7 hour journey beckoned and pleasantly it would be one of lots of shut-eye, and pipas munching, less pleasantly! The children had done very well this week, and behaved extremely well.       ... the children to update their mountain based workbooks while the birds sang, the water trickled and the horses galloped behind in the distance creating what was a very pretty classroom!
