    ... never heard of before. Aalborg is the 4th largest town in Denmark. Built on Limfjorden which was previously a fjord but has split into a couple of branches and is a river today.The activity of the town is centred around the river with fishing being an important production area.     ... wind had picked up to very strong and with this the temperature had dropped to around 12 degrees even though the sun was shining a bit. In spite of this we took a ride down a very steep hill to the banks of the fjord which were well vegetated with bushes that offered sufficient shelter for us to spend 30 minutes or so lying in the sun.

    Onto Hobro which looked like a pretty scummy town / city but was our gateway to Fyrkat, the Viking Fortress and reconstructed farmstead.
