    ... made chocolate cake!

Sun 26th: Hired bikes locally and took off to Vintgar Gorge. What a beautiful gorge in the mountains with crystal clear water. Then we cycled down to Bled with freezing cold hands on the handlebars and warmed up with soup at a local restaurant. ...

It's so peaceful and beautiful here and again I've been so lucky with the weather. This is my perfect climate - it's quite brisk, but the sun is shining. I could sit here forever. Alas, Ljubljana and a free "concert night" at the hostel call my name. Side note: LOL I just saw someone get bitten by a swan. ...

... slices from the Smon bakery (best in town) and had them for dessert. We also picked up a piece of grmada, made of cake, rum, milk, custard topped off with whipped cream and strawberry syrup. Bled has a very relaxing ambiance and we're glad we decided to stay here for a few nights. It really is a beautiful mountain area with majestic scenery. So, Slovenia ranks very highly in our esteem. It is a very beautiful, interesting country, with wonderful people, and we would be very happy to return in the ...
