... the magnificent Grossglockner drive we head to Hallstatt a small authentic Austrian village perched on the edge of the lake. Pop 720 and the men dress in leather pants and Austrian ladies look like dolls in their traditional dresses……. except for the 3000 Japanese and American tourists it’s Austrian Fairy land. We had arrived in late and nearly all the hotel/pensions were full and I don’t think they needed a couple of Aussies to add to the mix. Five kms away ...

The salt mine made the town of ...

... and magazines and a clean WC. As we have learnt you can board the train early and this time we did not book a seat. we sat in a grouping of four which enabled us to have our bags with us and not have to put it up above us. ( no one needed the seats.) we went through a very long tunnel just after leaving Vienna, we were traveling at high speed for at least 4-5 mins. After exiting the tunnel there are high embankments or walls and just over these peep the fooling country side ...

... I'd visited. I was no longer a stranger to the Austrian woods and waters, we had been acquainted. It was probably a better experience for me than it was for the Austrian nature, because she had heard me sing and saw me dance to awful awful music e.g. Justine Bieber. Shhhhh...what happened in the Austrian woods stayed in the woods.

I woke up this morning feeling rested but very lazy. I had to visit one more lake according ...
