        is a nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and have a good lay out. The hotel has internet and the mobile signals are strong enough for the Internet stick, too.

        ... groups of churches, and after exploring the first group we made a quick trip back to our hotel for lunch, then came back for what I considered the main attraction, and most photographed of all the famous Lalibela structures: the cross-shaped Church of St. George. Because of its setting, St. George's is the best example of how the buildings were carved from the surrounding sandstone and basalt rock.

        ... villages surrounded by green fields and even in some places the sarong like clothing reminded me of textiles of Sumatra. Dark blue three wheeled Tuk Tuk's with white roofs are the predominant form of people transport in all towns and villages but the heavily loaded donkey cart is ever present carrying any and all goods. We stopped in Dessie for lunch at a cafe and after just a couple of minutes Pete noticed that his tank bag placed carefully on the table beside him was GONE. ...
