... where it was all 2 lane. Out of the mountains, we drive on and on the flats. We got into Guymon at 7:30 local time, over 10 hours of driving. October 13, Monday We left Guymon around 9:30am where the wind made driving a little difficult. We got to Enid, then it rained on us off and on the whole way home.  It was a long day because of the weather.   We got home around 6:30pm with the wind still blowing and it was quite cool... Home sweet ...

... Travelodge in Holbrook.  We had stayed there a couple of years ago and enjoyed it again this time. September 18, 2014 (Thursday) I started out driving to Flagstaff.  We stopped there and got gas and some groceries at the Safeway there.  We then headed north towards North Rim of Grand Canyon. Well, summer is over and the fall is giving way to winter!

... We enjoyed looking around and bought a few souvenirs. Of course I could not help but think of my FIL, who loves Walmart!!

Driving back to the state park we stopped for gas and hot chocolate - even Tricia purchased something in a convenience store - shocking!! Cathy had pre-prepared her yummy egg casserole, so when we arrived at the cabin she popped it in the oven and we soon had a delicious dinner.

Up very early for flight from Jackson to DFW then home. Girls are getting dropped off in St Louis at their Dad's then Charley is home to Dublin. Hopefully their travel will be ok. Delta is trying to make it diff. Some tears shed and the Memo wave at the airport. Great vacation and perfect family to travel with. I am a very blessed man. We made it home safe.
