Planning

Hello,

Basically just testing to see if this works, and also cos Rhys told me to do this now. Also, I wanted Alton to appear as a little dot on our map thing. Anyways, we're off on sunday, looking forward to it, and I'm sure we'll miss you all! Bye for now!

Tickets booked!

Booked flight today - Guatemala on Feb 22nd 2010. So to mark the occasion I thought I'd start my travel diary today as well.

Two months to go - and a lot of list-making, planning, shopping, getting vaccinated, freaking out, and bouncing with excitement to do!

Weeks 10-11: Belgium Outside the Hospital, England

... here. In the late afternoon, I was picked up by my first host-mother, Nicole, and taken to my first host-sister's house to see her and her family. She has 2 beautiful young girls now, and it was so nice to meet them and have a lovely afternoon tea of tea and flan. My evening was rounded out nicely with my first Belgian 'friet' (fries) of this stay.

On Monday I began my last 6 days of legal prac in the firm in which my last host-father, Marc, is a partner. It is a medium ...

Hello everybody

We are still alive and well. We are in Cambodia at the moment. Apoligies for not sending any travel blogs for a while. As we're are trying to do 2 blogs at the same time it has become too much to keep both of them going simultaneously, so this one has been neglected for a while. If any of you are interested in our travels I can add your email ...

Lovely wet ole town!

Visited this town while I was visiting my Uncle in Portsmouth. Its a lovely little place, well not little but seems about the size of Newcastle. Not that I have seen its outskirts etc.

When I arrived I went to have a look at the old wall and the old castles etc set up by Henry the VI I think. But it started to pour down so I went ...

UK AIrport don't you just love them

... least pretty friendly.
Always the best part of the trip leaving that morass behind.

Off on the Air Berlin  flight to Hanover. Departed and arrived right on time must be German efficiency, but the approach was as bumpy as I've experienced in a while, several sick bags were out.

Wallabies await - Montpellier here we come

... Montpellier where I will be with every other aussie, and my english friend Sharon, cheering on the Aussies. then, when we've won, \i will take in the culture of the south of france, more eating, drinking and indulging. Sadly though, \i have already reached the upper most weight limit of my suitcases, and capacity to become a sherpa and carry all my possessions on my back will not happen. Im sure \i can fit in just ...

Learning to drive all over again

... our guess was people feed them all the time. After walking around the sleepy town and visiting its old church and ancient cemetery, we continued throught the Cotswolds and found camping in a small village called Lechlade, which had the Thames flowing through it. We ate dinner at a pub (fish & chips for me, sausage & onion stuffed potato for Yvonne) and had a lager, played a bit of darts, then it was back to the tent for some shut-eye. (May 9) Our last stop before heading ...
