... because it kind of looked like we were on a date. We had a few drinks so conversations were easy and I was having a blast! Roy joined us a bit later and at one point she even told him she was engaged to be married - at this point I thought no chance then!!
Roy spent most of his time on the phone to his girlfriend I think so I was just chatting away to Rita. During one of our conversation, she explained to me that in fact she has not got a boyfriend but says ...
... his accent was so strong. Gerry, his wife was easier to understand and until I was able to get my ears wrapped around Simon's thick brogue, I was referring to her for help!! It didn't take me too long, though three days later I was able to pick up about 80% of what he was saying and the other 20% I understood in context. We have come to realize that there are many different ways to speaka-da English! The hot hours of the day were spent at the internet, doing writing and ...

A clouded decision is never a "good" (of course "good and bad" are just human judgements and do not matter), never a good decision. What are the factors that color and cloud judgement/reaction to an event? Brain releases chemical, causes emotion. It is the weight and power one gives to the emotion that determines reaction. Anger is felt, but need it be expressed ...
Arambol Beach, Goa, India bloomerNew Years Eve found us landing at Goa's domestic terminal. As he was on one of the early flights out of Baroda, Ted was the advance guard and has sussed out our accommodation and had recognised it as a 'great find'. On arrival at Palolem, we were met by security guards who were not letting vehicles other than rickshaws anywhere near the beach, so we had to transfer all our luggage. We then had to trudge all the way along ...
Goa, India cleavers... really the ICB and ECB should attend). There was a break from the beach a couple of days ago when we took a trip to Panjim, which is the capital to the state of Goa. Our friend Sue took us by local bus to the city where we walked through some nice markets (fruit, veg, fish, poultry, etc.) and had a lovely masala tea at the local tea shop. So we are enjoying our surroundings and enjoying the days here.
Benaulim, Goa, India willa_andrew... sur les toits parce que je pense que si ils avaient ete pres d'elle elle aurait ete moins rassuree. Margao, India maud.leray... than the ones we encounter on the streets of Indian cities ... and we are hanging out with them on Om Beach. We're planning on spending the week here and attending Shivaratri Festival which takes place in the village of Gokarna from Thursday to Saturday, before heading up to Mumbai (Bombay).
Gokarna, India tipep... on the sand with our shoes off. I desperately wanted to run to the sea, but Devesh didnīt let me. We hadnīt eaten anything since morning. So we headed towards a shack. Sitting upstairs comfortably, we enjoyed a splendid view. The beach looked a masterpiece by a painter. It was surrounded by hills, lined up with swaying coconut trees, and had small-small beach huts along the shore. When Devesh told me about Palolem, I had painted such a beach in my ...
Goa, India ritushri... only just stepped off the plane ("like a chicken" still ringing in our ears). We even had a (lobster red) guy shout "Take some bloody clothes off!!" at us. I felt like ranting back that we're the ones respecting Hindu culture not to mention the future condition of our skin, but couldn't think up a witty enough line before he'd stomped off to catch some more rays. I felt conspicuous in shorts, let alone a bikini, my body having been in hiding for so many months ...
Panaji, India tallbird_lankey... been given in on finding in Goa. New Years day I went to Anjuna Beach (where all the backpackers was supposed to be ) on my bicycle to try to find a better place. I didn't really fit in there either. All the time trance music in the background, a lot of old hippies and people on drugs and people selling drugs. I met some Finnish people briefly on the beach the first day, but except but that people wasn't really eager to talk - at least that was how I felt. So after 4 ...
