Our first stop is Nessebar, a quiet little port in Bulgaria. The seaside town is a mix of old and new. On one side of the harbor we see modern hotels and, on the other, there are remnants of buildings from the Roman period. We walk thru the older section with its quaint shops and rough cobblestone streets. It's a little warm and humid out, so we walk down and dip our feet in the cool Black Sea. Officials are continually confused, not surprisingly perhaps, by the Export Plates and car registration. They clearly couldn't find the car in their system and we got passed around four guys until one who did something the others did not, and the only one could speak ...

... blokes looked a bit teary! One gent compared Rich to St Nicholas and it does feel a bit like playing Father Christmas when you go into a darkened room where folk are sleeping and you leave Christmas shoeboxes on their bedside tables for when they wake...

Here are some pics and a video will follow.

Tomorrow we have more distributions in Burgas and then head back west, visiting more orphanages on our way.
