Driving Up The Cape

... any beach that we have back in California so I wasn't overly impressed. Just like in California, the water was cold and there were even a few wet-suited surfers attempting to ride what little waves were crashing. After enjoying the beach, we walked over to the Nauset Lighthouse. This half white, half red lighthouse was approximately 4 stories tall and is the most visited lighthouse on Cape Cod. The lighthouses are one of Cape Cod's major attractions. This ...

Mike and Trace's big gay out

A short ferry ride from Boston in Cape Cod Bay lies Provincetown. Now if you're narrow-minded, ignorant or been in a coma for the last 20 years, or perhaps your idea of liberal is skipping church once a fortnight then this place might not be for you. But if you’re not fazed by 75 year old queens (or would they be queen mothers ?) belting out Sinatra classics on street corners, every tree limb, drain pipe or lamp post being adorned with rainbow flags or pink feather boas or men in skin ...

we would have lunch in town - in a place like, for example, their local landmark "Lobster Pot"...
at night we would go to a show - there are so many of them in P-town! ...

still seasick

... we even left the nantucket harbor due to a slight mishap involving excess wind, a wooden pylon, and the dingy motor attached to the stern rail. the new motor has lots of power and got us from our moored boat to land for a lovely dinner, in time for the tennis match.

and so it all begins. . .

it all began so innocently. . . sure, let's go for a week long sail with your family up to the maine coast--how wonderful! spend some quality father-son time, see the northeastern seaboard . . . but quickly the weather became 30 knot winds, 8-12 foot swells, and rain. this lasted for 3 days and resulted in a very seasick ...

My First trip to the East Coast

... Martha's Vineyard. The first day that I was there Chris picked me up from the ferry station and we went straight to South Beach. The ocean felt so good after the long night of traveling. And it was ungodly hot! Got some ice cream in Edgar Town. We went to see the sunset at another small town and its one of the only places on the East Coast where the sun sets over the water. That night we went to a bar to see the Grateful ...

Fenway Park and Boston

My annual sporting event trip for 2006 is going to a baseball game at Fenway and Yankee stadium. My two best friends, Danny and Daniel, and I started this two years ago as a way to see some cool places and keep in touch with each other. 2004 was the Kentucky Derby and in 2005 we went to the Daytona 500. This year we had tickets to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on Jan 2, but it was moved to Atlanta after Katrina hit and we decided not spend New Year ...
