Minimum 4 lanes of busy traffic on every road, bumpy roads made from concrete not bitumen, a distinct 'lack of greenness', vast industrial areas and huge cars. These were my first impressions of Los Angeles. But then I had just been travelling for around 21 hours and was hot and exhausted. Second impressions were better.
