... we arrived safe and sound. The lighthouse looked super huge from the ground and my husband wanted to think twice before attempting to climb it. I, on the other hand, wasn't going to take no for an answer so up the lighthouse we went. Luckily there were platforms every 20 steps or so. The curved staircase was very narrow and we needed to pause for any people that were coming down as we were ascending. 178 stairs later we had reached the top.
