... is very hot and humid. The challenge for early settlers was to stay alive with Yellow Fever and Malaria rampant. The original vision was to build a town without slaves, Catholics or Lawyers. In the event all three became essential for their hard work. The town was built by Scottish peers,trading in cotton and lumber with the labour of slaves and then of Irish labourers on the railroads.

... was really fun! The Mexicans have the hardest names to remember, there's so many of them as well!  I'm still beyond tired, but tomorrow the Americans arrive so that will a long day but really exciting at the same time. We will be back to cheesy dance routines and singing prayers. Right now I'm lying in the lodge watching the glee kid I am. Then I'll be off to get my beauty sleep :)  Nighty night peeps ...

... I absolutely LOVE- a grilled chicken sandwich, which is topped with baked apples and cinnamon, and brie cheese! This sandwich is just to die for! Had pasta salad with feta cheese on the side (and a couple of MLs, too!)

Still have 500 miles to drive tomorrow before we reach Fort Lauderdale. Hope to be up and out of here by 7 a.m. Hoping for a good nights ...

... fashion, it was laundry day, so we got a handful of quarters and got it done, then celebrated with some junk food

The evening was work based, scripts and the like, we also walked over to the Subway across the road, not too bad, although I prefer the Meatball style back home
