... Charleston first, we might have found we loved Savannah. Charleston set the bar and savannah fell short of it. A bit sleepy, a bit ho-hum, a teeny but, dare I say, boring? We walked along the river, round the old historic district, the market area and Forsyth Park and we walked our little socks off. But still we didn't fall in love with savannah. ... we went to an absolutely amazing song and dance show called "Savannah Sings". It consisted of music from the 60's, 80's and 90's - everything from broadway hits ("Phantom of the Opera") to Elvis, Elton John, The Village People and even Tina Turner. By the end end of the show, everyone was certainly dancing in their seats. What a great way to end a very full day!

... driver and a very patient man as the roads were still pretty full with leftover St Patrick's day revellers dancing Gangnam style. We found respite among the 21 restored squares in the city which were each achingly beautiful with colourful planting, fountains or statues, and all surrounded by elegant, historic houses.

... to Savannah... love! What a beautiful city! The city reminds me of Old Quebec because there is a sort of upper and lower portion to the historic part of the city divided by high stone walls and steep cobblestone driveways. We checked into our hotel and were pleasantly surprised by our accommodations! The Olde Harbour Inn is beautiful and our room is more like a suite with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living ...
