... like the fruit bats back home though. We went to have some dinner and drinks with a few people from the hostel and meags went home as she was tired, while Rowan stayed out for beers. We loved Austin Texas and we will definitely go back. It's like a city that doesn't feel like a city! Great shops, amazing nightlife and overall a very lovely people. It's going to be a big contrast as our next stop is Vegas! Looking forward to seeing Ash and Chris for the first few days and then Sue and ...

A travel blog entry by burtonll on Mar 09, 2012

SXSW, pronounced South by Southwest, that's the buzz today. Mary and Joseph, there is No Room in the Inn, or even the stable. Every room in every hotel is booked and there are regular posts as to which streets will be blocked, and when. Shuttles and bikes are recommended and walking will get you there faster than your burro. I heard tell that someone rented their couch last year for a thousand bucks! One thousand dollars for ...

      Texas Resident

A travel blog entry by larryg59 on Oct 06, 2011

Back in Texas, Going to visit Kat up in Austin Sat. and going to relax a little before heading to Arizona on Sun. I think we might try to become a resident of Texas, so we don't have to pay state tax. Very nice campground we are staying at, looks like its new.....nice big sites for big rigs, and the best thing about it they had a place to park my vending trailer. Lessons learned today, if your driving down the ...
