    Finally our adventure has begun!! I am fairly sleep deprived so this may not make all that much sense.

    The flights were pretty painless, we both slept most of the way. Arrived in LA at around 6:30am after 21 hours of travelling, got through customs etc and picked up our hire car.     ... There where also at least two hiking trails that started/ended up at the hill. The paths seemed very sandy and quite steep. Also the people arriving at the top seemed pretty tired. So I would definitely recommend good hiking shoes (not regular shoes like I was waring at the time) and some bottles of water to take along. Maybe if we would have had more time and proper footwear we would have tried one.
