The wheels on the van go round and round

It was getting late, but we wanted to do a bit more driving tonight, so we drove on to Chaplin, where we are planning to visit the bird viewing centre tomorrow morning.

Epilogue
... flight from Auckland to L.A was met with mammoth turbulens, leading our seat neighbour from Tennessee to call for a few "wet" ones. Once we were through a 2 hour long line at the US Customs, we rushed to buy a "cheap"(compared to NZ prices) Starbucks treat, and hopped onto our flight to Calgary and stunning view of the Rocky Mountains. We were greeted by Derek's aunt, uncle, and cousins and treated to our first taste ...
2 Weeks to go!
Well here we are with 2 weeks left to go. I was hoping the weather would stay at 20'C until the day after we leave but unfortunately we have to deal with a little bit of winter! At least it makes us feel lucky knowing what we're leaving behind here with all of our fellow Canadians! I have to say that the weirdest part of all of this ...
Visas, tickets, and medications....
... C to 8'C. I'm a little anxious to see how we'll keep it refrigerated without ice packs, but we've worked out a basic plan. Customs is also a concern, for some reason I must just look entirely suspicious because they seem to like to pick on little ol' me, but we've got our documents lined up!
Well enough details for now. We'll post some more on here as the date approaches even closer.
