... super interesting happened except some kids tried to ask me for my number through the car window. Considering I was about halfway through a 12 hour drive, I wasn't wearing any makeup, and my seatbelt was hiding the salsa stain from earlier, I'd call that a win for me even though I denied them my digits. Anyway, I'm safe for the night and ready for Mount Rushmore tomorrow. Sleep ...

I left Madison at about 4:00pm feeling grateful for Sam and Michelle's hospitality, as well as for lunch with Dan and Kristin. Right before Betsy and I were set to leave I talked to a neighbor who saw my bike and Luther college jersey. Apparently he rides with a professor at Luther sometimes. ... local delicacy, would've been rude not to! Never did find out why it was called a 'dinner club'!? but we suspect licensing advantages!
