... resumed their normal voices and AJ and BJ heard them saying 'thank-you so much' to the farmer and 'time to go.'

Everyone piled back into the van which soon headed back out onto the road. After a tiring journey they were back at their hotel. Just before they headed off to their different rooms AJ and BJ heard the humans agreeing to meet back at the van at 7 o'clock for dinner.

... after toll in the Chicagoland area. Traffic was also a mess going through the Dan Ryan Expressway and headed out past O'Hare airport, so we inched our way through the area. Illinois was also in a constant state of construction, so the highway was rarely in good form for traveling smoothly.

We traveled 508 miles today, and arrived in our lovely campsite in Milton, WI around 6 PM, again with an easy setup. It felt good to get the Illinois drive behind us! ...

I left Madison at about 4:00pm feeling grateful for Sam and Michelle's hospitality, as well as for lunch with Dan and Kristin. Right before Betsy and I were set to leave I talked to a neighbor who saw my bike and Luther college jersey. Apparently he rides with a professor at Luther sometimes.
