Rehearsals are going well and we open on Friday! YAY!!! The show will continue throughout the holidays and will close Dec. 31st.

... York behind us we drove into Pennsylvania for a day at Longwood Gardens. The skies threatened rain but as we began to walk the grounds the sun broke through and we had perfect weather to explore the acres of gardens. Red t-shirts were everywhere as Phillie Phever sweeps the area.

We spent the entire day here, and still missed one section, this is quite a treasure and we will let the photos speak for themselves.

... was great) as we toured the battleground and for the next 3 hours we learned all about the area, the battle, and the men who fought and died on the battlefield. Getting the guide was the best thing we could have done.....she we so knowledgeable and we learned so much more that we would have trying to tour the area on our own.

Tomorrow off to Hershey PA for some chocolate, and then to Lancaster to see the PA amish countryside.

This [extended] weekend, we're staying in a wonderful little motel--family owned, specializing in extended stays. So we have a little kitchenette, and a separate bedroom. How refreshing it is to say "Hey I'll be in the other room"

We're in the quaint little Pennsylvania town of Mohnton, and we're staying here just in time for the annual Pumpkin parade!

... loved seeing her!  Although there weren't many stores we still managed to spend a pretty penny.  After a good three and a half hours we were all pretty worn out so we headed back to the Lancaster Host Resort. We hung out around the hotel, watching TV and pretty much just relaxing.  With Labor Day just around the corner the hotel was getting really crowded.  For the past few days we had been some of the only ones in the pool and hanging out on the patio ...

... went on a Garfield quarter ride while dad, Mike and I all played a few games of pin ball. We were done playing games by 7:30, and we all went out to play mini golf.  I hadn't played miniature golf in a while and it was so much fun!  The course was small, but nice.  There were a few waterfalls, as well as animatronics of the Dutch Wonderland mascots - the princess and the dragon.  There were also two caves which housed two of the course's holes.  This was Alison's first ...

... restaurants in Madrid, but Spain tends to be fairly multicultural. I did learn to stay away from one particular Cuban place, though. "Fried shrimp" coated in what must have been cornbread are not very good, no matter how cute your waiter is. Wish me luck and call me often as I get everything together. I know my parents at least wouldn't want me hanging out at home because I forgot my passport and got deported.
