We decided not to go to Carlsbad Caverns. It wasn't one of the places we had originally planned on going, and even though we're close it would take us a couple hours out of our way and we would probably have to stay another night. We're all ready to move on and get to Albuquerque soon so we can finally stop for a few days and get caught up on things. Staying one or two nights everywhere we go is making the trip feel too hectic.

Stopped in Hobbs, NM - the new home of... our rear bumper! We were excited to finally make it into New Mexico as Iris woke up, so we stopped and found a big park and let the kids play for a while. Stopped for fuel on the way out of town, and apparently caught the bumper on a concrete post at the gas station. We didn't feel anything inside the truck but at the stop light we once again saw the car beside ...

... We found a restaurant called Cork and Pig so the name caught my eye and we went. It was a typical beer drinking Chili's kind of place but a little upscale.
Given the clientele we decided to order pizzas instead of pork ribs. The pizza was good as was the wine. John's margarita was okay. As you can see the Flats jumped into the drinks immediately!! Drunkards!! To allow us to have some wine left over John had to put the Flats in his shirt ...
