Jacqui's parent's just moved (again) and bought a house in Utica. So since we actually had a free weekend at home, we decided to go and visit them and see the new house. The house itself is really cool. It was built in the 1970's by an interior designer and an architect. So it's not a normal house in the least. Lots of really cool touches like turtle door handles, bird closet ...
Utica, New York, United States big_red_truckYou know I love blogs. So, what better way to keep us all in touch and see the terrific things happening to the Vogel family? Post your events, travels and pictures to this blog for us all to see! Post often. Mom needs to know where you are, if you are all OK, and I want all the info over coffee each morning! I love you all!
Baldwinsville, New York, United States vogelfamilia... American Halloween with the Roche family. Gareth was flame boy, with red hair gel and flame face painting. Moira was a skeleton princess with white mesh fabric and she finally got to wear red lipstick.
It was cold and windy but at least it didnt rain as was forecast.
When sorting thier loot, Gareth was very generous as he doesn't like chocolate, so I really got to delve into the tradition of eating yourself sick. This seems to be a common ...
... painted anything, and he spent 4 years painting the roof... by the end he was semi blind, and had permanently damaged the nerves in his neck. Because he had already been paid by the Vatican as a sculptor, he wasnt given any more money to paint the Sistine Chapel and had to buy the pain himself, so it has been mostly painted using the cheap colours of the time. He had useless assistants as well. He was really set up to fail... but he showed 'em! I ...
Rome, New York, United States t-l-c... For lack of a suffient American translation of the word.. Bogan's. It was great just to stroll and people watch. With 5 tickets, I pretty much saw everything.
How does it compare to the ekka in brisbane?
I can't compare it to the ekka sufficiently because they are different and I am most likely bias. I do think that it is bigger and there are a lot more food vendors and ...

I sat in the cafe for 10 hours straight reading, it still wasnt enough. The first 8 hours were all spent on reading "the host" by stephanie meyer. I liked it better that the twilight series, i think her wriitng is imporving but not much. It is obviously not a literary ...
... set up next to us. I asked why since there were several open sites but was told that I parked and setup in the wrong spot. Finally the manager agreed that the park was at fault and I could stay and he put the other camper in another spot.
I had to twist Kathy's arm to get her to go to the Turning Stone casino in Verona,N.Y.. She only played bingo and did not even play the slots.( Is she ...
... The roads in New York are wonderful and we are just north of the finger lakes the area is hilly and beautiful. I took only one picture today as the camera was in waterproof protection and I was in hammer mode. The forecast was for more rain in the afternoon and I wanted to get in. The ride was 73 miles and we had the wind in our face 10 to 15 mph and climbed 3100 feet.
Liverpool, New York, United States bot989... out of the plane, but Marie assured me that it would end soon. We arrived in NY, waited for wine and took a confusing trip through the airport to find the JetBlue terminal. We called home and found out what was going on in the world. It's pretty unreal to think that they we flow out this day and everywhere people were asking us if we had stuff and people were tossing out lipstick, creams, toothpaste and what not. We got on our JetBlue flight for home on ...
Rochester/Livonia, New York, United States uvanmathias... our destination, the colour changed abruptly. Beautiful browns, yellows and greens were replaced by white. It's a lot colder up here, I was later informed that it was approx -9'C (Was wishing I packed that thermal underwear!). I met Tom's parents Rose Ann and Robert (Clarke). We arrived just in time for a tour of the house and dinner - Some of the best meatballs I've ever tasted. Clarke lectures on Graphic Design at Mohawk Valley community college, their house is filled with ...
